Display and Design
Even the display size of the
device is rarely found these days at 5 inch, it is great for one hand usage.
The resolution of the display is 1280x720 pixels (HD) which gives it a pixel
density of 294PPI which does sound sharp enough and on the display we do not
get any sort of protection. The phone looks good and well build to not make any
creaking sound and has a similar design to the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3.
Hardware and Features
Inside Xiaomi Redmi 3s Plus runs
on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 Octa Core chipset that is clocked at 1.4Ghz and
paired along is 3GB of RAM. The device should perform well, thanks to the
decent processor and ample 2GB of RAM for an decent multitasking experience.
The phone also features an IR blaster which acts as a remote to most of the
home appliances and a fingerprint scanner on the rear of the device which is
fast and quite accurate while unlocking the device.
Camera
and Storage
For clicking pictures, the phone is
armed with a 13MP main camera (FULL HD video recording) and a 5MP selfie
shooter. The primary camera features digital zoom, auto flash, face detection,
touch to focus etc. In order to save a large number of files, the 3S plus
houses an internal memory of 32GB which can be further expanded upto 128GB
using a microSD card.
Battery
The device is fuelled by a 4,100mAh
li-polymer battery inclusive of fast charging. For networking and sharing, the
device offers options such as dual SIM, 4G (supports Indian bands), 3G, 2G,
VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11, b/g/n, Mobile Hotspot, Bluetooth v4.1, GPS with A-GPS,
Glonass and microUSB 2.0.
Verdict
Like other Xiaomi siblings, the XiaomiRedmi 3S Plus is also an outstanding phone with great cameras. The performance
is very good, be it high gaming or multitasking. The user can get entertained
for a day and a half in medium usage since the battery back is excellent. And
even you want to enjoy heavy usage tasking, then also it is the fast charging
feature which comes in handy for the users. As far as drawback points are
concerned, one can easily say that Hybrid SIM and non removable battery are
common cons present in most of the Xiaomi phones.
Connectivity and Storage
Xiaomi Redmi 3s Plus is a 4G
LTE enabled device and also supports VoLTE. Even though it is a Dual SIM
device only the first SIM supports VoLTE and the second slot is Hybrid, meaning
it will either accept the second SIM or you can use the slot expand storage on
the phone to up to 128GB via a MicroSD card.
